I am excited to announce my newest solo endeavor, Techne. This comprehensive open studio will be the inaugural show within the newest studio space located in the Tin District at 2506 Sylvan Avenue.
Spanning a decade of material, Techne is a showcase of my growth as an artist and a declaration of the philosophical intentions that inform my paintings. My work is a combination of allegory and technical processes that work together to form tableaus populated with artistic and historical references.
Though each painting creates their own narrative and meaning through a juxtaposition of the symbols found on the canvas, a continuity is present when each painting is considered next to the other. Just as I believe the best paintings relate to each other throughout the span of history, this show is an opportunity to showcase that intent within my process.
